Project details

Bharati Hospital- Sangli
I also led the design and implementation of the HVAC system for Bharati Hospital in Sangli. This project included the installation of Class 100 laminar flow plenums in the operation theaters, a critical component for maintaining ultra-clean, sterile environments required for complex surgical procedures. My role involved precise engineering, careful airflow management, and close coordination with medical teams to ensure the highest levels of air quality and infection control.

Comprehensive HVAC and Laminar Flow Design
Designing the HVAC system for Bharati Hospital’s operation theaters required a deep understanding of the stringent air quality and contamination control standards necessary in healthcare environments. I implemented Class 100 laminar flow plenums, designed to provide a continuous flow of filtered, sterile air directly over the surgical area, minimizing the risk of airborne contamination. This included selecting high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters, precise ductwork design to reduce turbulence, and advanced airflow control systems to maintain consistent pressure and temperature. Additionally, I carefully coordinated the installation with surgical teams to ensure the layout supported optimal surgical workflow and patient safety

Critical Infrastructure and System Integration
Beyond the laminar flow system, I managed the integration of supporting infrastructure, including mechanical supports, electrical connections, and backup power systems to ensure uninterrupted operation. This required detailed coordination with electrical and mechanical teams to balance power loads, prevent service interruptions, and maintain the critical air quality needed in modern operating theaters. By focusing on both air quality management and infrastructure reliability, I helped create a world-class surgical environment at Bharati Hospital in Sangli, supporting patient safety and medical excellence.
